Music Club

Music is a performing art. As important as it is to practice technique, it is equally important to practice performing before a live audience. Almonte in Concert’s Music Club provides a unique opportunity for music students of all ages and abilities to develop their performing skills in the musical style of their choice, in a fun, supportive and non-competitive environment. Consistent live performance will not only improve a student’s musical abilities but will also help build confidence for many other life skills such as public speaking.

Music Club meets five times throughout the season on Sundays at 2:00 p.m. at Almonte Old Town Hall. Students from throughout the Ottawa Valley are encouraged to attend. Piano students will have the opportunity to play on our incredible Steinway concert grand piano. Students generally play one or two pieces from their current practice repertoire. Ensembles are encouraged and accompaniment can be arranged with enough notice.

A nominal fee is charged (see below) to recoup the hall rental costs. We look forward to seeing you at our next meeting.
